[Feature Request]: Duplicate buttons for columns or rows of data

Description

button to duplicate columns and / or rows

Purpose

easy data duplication for re-encoding data while preserving the original data as a backup

Additional context

Would be cool to have a duplicate column (or row) button in the ribbon and / or the right click menu

As opposed to copy-paste?

Also for "not losing your old data" there is the undo?

Although I guess some "paste column(s) as insert" could be useful I guess

In addition to copy-paste, yes. So essentially just for making copy-pasting faster.

Undo is wonderful, I know. But if I close and reopen the file the undo-stack is gone. So it is only a temporary backup.
Now that data manipulation is much easier to do since 0.19 a duplicate button would be really useful.

With the "paste column as ..." thing - are you thinking about Strg+Shift+V kind of stuff like here in libreoffice calc?

Very cool yes, but not what I was thinking of really.

I just meant, there is the button to "insert a column" which inserts an empty column.
Where you could then paste the copy of a column into. "Insert paste" would then do both the insert and the paste at the same time. Which could then also be used to also add a "duplicate" button which just does copy+insert-paste
