Is it expected behavior that JASP on macOS does not display any notification about the availability of a newer version for download?

Have you answered "yes" when jasp asked If its OK to Check? See your settings If you do Not remember

You will not receive notifications for now because this may be intentional on our part. We always release in a “Grayscale Release” manner.If there are no particularly serious issues, you will generally get a new version notification a few days after the official website was updated.

Then our version manager (@boutinb ) will update https://static.jasp-stats.org/JASP-Version.txt (so you can see it still 0.19.1)

We wait always some days before updating the version check: if a critical bug is found, we have time to make a hotfix version.
