Description
I am missing an automatic function in JASP to hit a target value for a DoE design once the design is analysed and optimized
Purpose
To calculate the best fit of input parameters to hit a specified output of a factorial design of a DoE.
Use-case
I am Trainer for Six Sigma Black Belts in the Safran Group. JASP is an essential part of our training. We show the DoE during the training including an exercise. The students should calculate the best set of paramters to hit a specified output of a factorial design.
Is your feature request related to a problem?
No problem, I miss a feature in JASP
Is your feature request related to a JASP module?
Quality Control
Describe the solution you would like
After having established a factorial design and after having analyzed and optimized the design I want to calculate the best fit of parameters to hit a specified target output (like it is done with Minitab)
Describe alternatives that you have considered
I think it is possible to calculate the optimized target with ANOVA or with a regression in JASP or with another software like Minitab (or Excel) but it's much more efficient to stay in JASP and to do it automatically.
Additional context
I am trainer for Black Belts in the Safran Group. The Safran Group has recently changed from Minitab to JASP. We undergo the DoE during the BB training including the target optimization. Now we face the issue that JASP is not providing the automatic calculation of the target value in the DoE module.
We are about 20 trainers who face the same issue. We are training 60 - 80 Black Belts per year who are also affected.
