[Feature Request]: Give some idea of the maximum data file size that JASP can handle

Description

A good thing to put somewhere on the website perhaps i.e. the maximum data file size is X megabytes or X by Y rows and columns.

Purpose

Obviously when using R the real limitation is the computer specification; but I'm not certain how directly that translates into JASP. It handles the data files differently i.e. by some kind of DB back-end, if I recall?

Hmmm, not so sure about this...

JASP tends to use a few times more memory than the datafile itself, because it loads it in the desktop, and also in 1 or more engines. But the limits are dependent on the RAM, speed and now also cpu-cores in a computer...

I have no idea what I could recommend as "supported filesize".
And it probably also makes a difference for which type of file you are loading...

As I said it seemed like a sensible question to at least consider asking, even if it didn't necessarily make sense from the technical programming side of things! :-) I thank you for giving me a thorough answer, as you and the rest of the team always do with us users. I will close this one.
