Bug Description

With about a thousand rows of data, I launched the plot builder, which took an unexpectedly long time (5 seconds) to launch. I then created a simple plot consisting of two mean-points conne4cted by a single line. I then made a copy of the plot using the "Duplicate." There was a whole minute or two of unresponsiveness before the Duplicate operation completed itself. I saved, closed, and then reopened the file. Reopening took a very long time (minutes). I then attempted to make a copy of the copy, using the Duplicate function again. This time, the process took 15 minutes to complete itself. I've reproduced this problem multiple times. Restarting the machine does not help. Also not that I have a pretty new, pretty fast machine, and am only experiencing this slow-down with the "Plot Builder (beta)."

Expected Behaviour

It should have taken a few seconds at most.

Strange: I have tried your JASP file on a Windows 11 laptop (8 GB RAM, Processor 2.40 GHz), and I can load it in 2 seconds, and copy an analysis also in 2 seconds. Sometimes the Virus scanner or some Windows defender tools can slow down a lot a machine. Can you check this?

@boutinb The software update from JASP 0.95.0 to 0.95.1 fixed the problem for me:

Fine this is solved!

Actually, I though this was fixed. But it's fixed only for the simplest plots. 'Duplicating' a violin plot showing all the data takes a very long time (much longer than it would take to run a plot script in R. To be clear, there's no lag in the actual creation of a plot, just in the using the 'duplicate' function to duplicate the plot.

As a workaround, I'm currently making sure to have just one plot builder plot per JASP file.
