Steps to Reproduce

Just opened computer, clicked on JASP window and it crashed.

Hi @fredcito If I understand the log file, you were doing some Repeated Measures ANOVA analysis, left your computer for (at least) 3 hours, and when you came back you saw this crash.
JASP kills its engine process when they do nothing for some time. Apparently afterwards, for some reason, it tried to resume an Engine, and failed to do it. Do you have still the log of the engines process (they should be in the same folder as the desktop log file) . Maybe @JorisGoosen can have a look at the log.

Could you afterwards start JASP and run some analyses without problem?

Hi Bruno thanks for this (and for all of the amazing work!) cheers Fred p.s. I had quite a lot of crashes without obvious causes so didn't want to bombard as figured probably something with a MacOS 'upgrade'
