Bug Description

The Structural equation modeling does not work properly.
I either get the following message: waiting for initialization (of the engine) of module: SEM
or when I run my model, it gets stuck in the loading phase and the output never appears.
If it does appear, and I try to run it again with more output options checked (like additional fit measures or modification indices), I stops working.

I have tried uninstalling en reinstalling JASP, but this did not change anything.
My model does not give any other error messages, so it should be working fine

Expected Behaviour

I would expect the model to run, and not get stuck in the loading phase.
Also, it is annoying that you cannot see if it is actually loading (progress) or if it is just stuck

1. open SEM module
2. write your model and run it

can you post the .jasp-file here by renaming to zip and drag and dropping it here? thx
Because at least with the example from the data library SEM works just fine here.

If the problem persist you could also:

• post your system info:
• try an upgrade of JASP and Operating System
• use a different installer:
• share your .jasp file. ZIP it or rename it to .zip first. Then drag&drop it here (email attachment does not work).
• upload logs, see Logging Guide: https://github.com/jasp-stats/jasp-desktop/blob/stable/Docs/user-guide/logging-howto.md

This seems more like a core problem than an analysis problem. @boutinb is this in any known issues? @salangaan Can you check with the latest release version? there is 0.95.2 out.

This kind of problem is really difficult to tackle as we don't have a reproduction path. Or you can give us a JASP file that shows this issue.
In the upcoming release (over few days), there will be a fix that prevents a hanging problem. Maybe it solves yours...
