Literatures on Extended Reading

In Autodidax, there seems to be some programming language concepts are referenced. Are there some PL or programing transformation related research inspire the design of jax? If so, can anyone in the team point out some papers or books to fulfill my curiosity.

Note, when I say programming language, I mean the PL community.
