Faster way of setting up recording electrode

Jaxley is encouraging the use of "stim view" and "data stimuli" style of inserting stimulating electrodes. It is very fast and very elegant. I am wondering if we have the same style of method when setting up recording electrodes. Thanks!

-- And I guess a side question, if I use Pickle to save my network will recordings also be saved? They seem to be fields of the network class but I am not too sure about it

Hi, and thanks for the question! The recommendations for the stimuli have not changed: Use .stimulate outside of jit and use data_stimulate within jit.

For recordings, you have to use .record(). No other options exist.

Yes, the recordings will also be saved when saving with pickle.
