timepoint matching in simulated voltage trace

Hello, I am seeing the voltage trace has length t_max // dt + 2 which is quite weird to me. If it were 0, dt, 2dt ... t_max it should be +1 instead of +2. What is the correct way of understanding this voltage trace and matching it with timepoints? Thanks!

The stimulus is of length t_max // dt + 1, which corresponds to 0, dt,..., t_max. We perform one update step for every value of the stimulus. Thus, the returned voltage also contains the voltage at t_max + dt.

In short: the returned voltages corresponds to 0, dt,..., t_max, t_max+dt.
