ELRO FR3501R flash and vibration device

Hello,
I am deaf from birth and need a physical vibration connected to the Home Assistant system.
I found a vibration device through your ELRO integration.

ELRO no longer sells the K1 connector required for the integration.

I would like to use your integration to receive vibration notifications for various automations.

Is it possible to buy just the ELRO FR3501R flash and vibration device and connect it to the ELRO integration without the K1 connector required for the integration?

Hi, technically that should be possible. But the challenge is that I we need to find out how this device is activated.
But because I do not have such a device, I cannot test it. It must be reverse engineered.
Good news that there is a tool that can be used to find out what the commands should be.

The tool was used for the elro connects socket, but I'm convinced it could work for your device as well.

The tool can be found here:

You need some info to be able to the the tool and a Python environment to run it.
You need to install the library:
pip install lib-elro-connects

If we can find out the commands and the device type identifiers, the I could add it.

Not this all only works with the K1 connector. The L2 connector is of a complete different architecture.

To run the tool you need with a command you need:
1=IP_ADDRESS, 2=Connector ID (You can find this on in Home Assistant, format ST_xxxxxxxxxxxx), 3=device_id

You do not need and cloud credentials!

Step 1:
If to have the IP address and the Connector ID you need to determine the device _ID to be able to test.

e.g. python3 examples/socket_demo.py 192.168.1.x ST_xxxxxxxxxxxx

The will dump a list of all devices and there states. Note that this info is needed as base info.

If this step is successful we can start testing to activate the device.
If your target device is 4 the command looks like:
python3 examples/socket_demo.py 192.168.1.x ST_xxxxxxxxxxxx 4 0101

It should try to send the command:

Send command 0101 to device with ID: 4

The 0101 is the on command for a socket, and 0100 is off. But this is probable different for the vibration device.
So that is to be discovered. If you can provide the working codes and the base information, then that will help to get this device supported.

It might be the device has a test command, that can be issued.

Codes you might want to test are:
1700 and BB00 (thes are used to test fire and water alarms). May be 0000 to turn it off.
