Canadian Postal Code no longer working

Total newbie here. I've been using zap2xml for my ancient EyeTV installation for years back when I created a zap2it.com account. I don't remember how I set it up and I basically never touch it unless something breaks and I just download a new .pl file. The last time I ran it was June 21 and it worked. It failed today so I downloaded the latest .pl file. But even with the latest update it's now failing.

My ~/.zap2xmlrc file is empty and I invoke the script as: ./zap2xml.pl -d 14 -u [userid] -p [password] -o xlmtv.xml

Somehow it knows my postal code in Canada. Perhaps this is from my old Zap2It account that's been carried over to Gracenote?

I have no idea how to fix this. My account logins for Zap2It don't work for Gracenote.

The Gracenote server is having issues and appears to be nearly non-functional at the moment so there's nothing we can do. Logins still work but there is no guide data being provided, just an error message stating: Oops ! Something went wrong.

Thank you for the quick reply. I will try again later. Since the .zap2xmlrc file is empty and the command line doesn't include my postal code, do you have any idea where it gets it from and how I would change it if I needed to?

When you created your account with Zap2It you chose a channel lineup based on your postal code and that was carried over to Gracenote. Zap2xml has been patched so that it works once again with Gracenote so you should download the latest version now if you want to get your EPG updated.

Just tested with the new code using --country=CAN --lineupId=CAN-OTAV7C3V4 --postalCode=v7c3v4. Should be good to go now!

Thanks for all your effort. I think the new version has progressed beyond my abilities to run it. I'm still using EyeTV 3.6.9 on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 because when Geniatech bought the app subsequent updates broke compatibility with my HDHomeRun tuners. Sierra doesn't have npm on it and I doubt I'd be able to figure out how to install it and run your current code as npm doesn't support Sierra. I'll try installing your code on a more modern version of macOS and if I can get it running I'll then sync the xml file over to the old Mac. But since I know virtually nothing about git, npm, TypeScript, or Docker it could be a futile effort. I'll try Docker first.

Surprisingly I managed to get it running in Docker with very little effort. Nothing showed up in EyeTV until I figured out how to map frequencies to the new channel names; something I haven't needed to do in ages. I see that the TIMESPAN setting only allows 3 or 6 hours of data. Any way to get back to the 14 days I had with the Perl script? At most, I'd only fetch this data daily.

Hey @TWSheppard! macOS 10 may not come with Node.js, but you'd be able to install it!

As for the new timespan, I've updated it to except up to 15 days of data :) Use 360 now for timespan
