Hi there, I just wanted to say that I think your BetterSelf website was a great idea, and I'm glad to read (13 months ago) that were you thinking about upgrading it to 2.0.

Just coming to submit my vote that I think it is a great idea to do that. There are very poor alternatives on the market for supplement tracking and it's cross correlation to productivity. There are many ideas I have about how this could work too! Feel free to message me if you'd like any input. Good luck!

I'd love to have an update on how things are going :) I totally understand life gets in the way sometimes, and perhaps, being open source, we could get some minds together to work on this project? Or even fund development time? I know many people would love to use this software.

i've definitely dropped the ball on my timeline on when i would being to actively work on this 😆 😢 😢 , but i can promise that i'm starting to go back and redo betterself 2.0 the way i wanted to a few years back (proper mobile / web support).

i started yesterday cleaning up a lot of the database migrations, and reprovisioned servers. i'm moving all the betterself 2.0 code onto another open-sourced monorepo below

so you should see an insane amount of commits in the next couple of weeks on it about betterself. i have a sense of right before i'm about to enter a hyperproductive period and this feels like one of those times ... (hopefully). you should expect to see commits today though 😄

i'll create the repos for mobile (written in flutter/dart) as soon as i'm done with the backend.

if i don't make any commits / progress in the next few days, publicly shame me for being lazy 😆

Which method do you use and how i should learn that to i know basic django, also betterself can runpip install -r requirement.txt build failedhelp

• i'm filling it with test data at the moment, not recommended to try to sign up "for reals" yet lol
• still a few weeks off
• it's much better on mobile
• i still need to add the rest of everything else (activities, food, exercise, ingredient compositions).

• vague product map is build data integration, then add dynamic charts, add correlations code, then add charts for the correlations (and in parallel is build the mobile app)

@jeffshek sorry I never saw your last comment Jeff - just had a peek at the v2 - Wow!!! It looks so awesome. The design is so sexy and sleek. I love it. Whenever you feel you are at a place where you need beta testers - hit me up. I will provide in-depth feedback and I won't be a boob when things don't work :P I really appreciate all your effort here, and would love to contribute to this project in some way, I have a small community of people who are interested in this sort of stuff, I'd love to promote it there once it's in a workable state as well. Love hear about how you are planning to fund the development of this too, whether it's just a small hobby type thing you're doing because you're awesome or if you're thinking about a business plan for the future. I'm very interested in different types of business models that work well with the open source side of things. Keep us updated :D

@profucius @LukeStaszewski - Okay, so it's live on https://app.betterself.io/! I'm adding charting and metrics (and thinking about how to track it and show the charts correctly).

But all the base logging models (sleep, productivity, food, supplements, etc) are built and live! (finally, lol). I've been using it to track for about a day now, but intend to keep all the current data stores (ie. i wont randomly remove something). I'm going to migrate a lot of users who used betterself v1 over to v2 and hard switch soon.

So right now, it's doing tracking --> step 2 is letter user create customizable charts, etc. which should be in the next 1-2 months. I'll prob. be adding the mobile (written in Flutter/Dart) in this time too.
