Fate of unverified accounts

Is there some period of time after which unverified accounts will be removed? Or do they stay permanently in the system?

Nothing in Rodauth removes them automatically.

I see, so that kind of housekeeping is left to the implementation.

Am I correct that the email_last_sent timestamp is the best date to check against if i wanted to remove an unverified account after a certain amount of time?
