I have been struggling to figure out a good way to get fish functions working in the latest version when pressing I am aware of this PR being what breaks it. And that's why it is forcing commands to execute in bash. Nevertheless was wondering if there was a nice workaround, instead of pointing to the release prior to that PR being merged. E.g. I have a

Could you try if #4350 works for you? I do have to say though that the whole topic of using interactive shells for shell commands is unpleasant. We keep going back and forth with this with fixes and workarounds, but it's still causing problems for some people. |
