How to hide the Password Cursor on the credentials prompt

Question

Is there a way to revert to the old behavior of hiding the password's Positional Cursor
that shows up while typing in a password in the credentials popup?

Reason

Sometimes I stream on twitch.tv, and the positional cursor makes typing my password a security concern while live and/or recording.
The asterisks of course hide the text, but the positional cursor is not hidden, which reveals the length (and typing pattern) of my password whenever I type it.

Just out of curiosity - is there a reason you can't use SSH keys to authenticate?

SSH keys use a passphrase 🤔

I recommend to look into setting up ssh-agent, and never type your passphrase again. ;-)

(If you are on Mac, add UseKeychain yes to your ~/.ssh/config file, then you don't even need ssh-agent.)

I wasn't aware that being able to see the typing pattern is a security concern, but it makes sense to me. Here's a fix, do you want to test it? #4878
