i know i can create a custom command, but was curious on why such a common feature is not build in already ?, i work on repo where i create commits, and forget to pull before, and then there are new commits from other people on master, then i have to reset then pulll and apply my commits again |

Because everybody I know sets In my opinion there's very little need for deciding case by case whether you want to pull with merge or with rebase. |

git config --global pull.rebase true. I think this should be the default, unfortunately it isn't.In my opinion there's very little need for deciding case by case whether you want to pull with merge or with rebase.
