Happy New Year! 🎉 Hope you’re all starting the year well!
I’m a bit confused about the intended workflow in LazyGit for initializing a new repository and pushing it to a new remote (like GitHub).
In VSCode, I usually:
Create a project locally
Make the first commit
VSCode offers to create a remote on GitHub (via SSH) and pushes with one click
In LazyGit, I’m not sure how to achieve something similar. Currently, my workaround is:
Create the repo on GitHub manually
Set the origin manually
Push
But I’m lazy (haha) and end up opening VSCode just for this step.
Is there a built-in or planned flow in LazyGit to initialize a local repo and create/push to a new remote in a few clicks? If not, could this be considered as a feature?
Thanks for this amazing tool! Cheers
