Bug description

So my desktop does not have a HDMI on it. So I am using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Not sure if that makes a difference here. I think I have seen on youtube that brief flash of static as it boots (5 seconds into video). Is this something that is a known glitch or bug. I am waiting on 2 more JetKVM's from China and once I get them I will be able to connect without the need of an adapter. Will be curious to see if problem persists.

Let's put it this way if you bought a new TV and it did this every time it was turned on you wouldn't be pursuing an answer? As I said maybe it has something to do with the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter I am using. I just wanted to see if others have seen this and like I said I thought there were youtubers out there reviewing this and I thought I saw that same static. It speaks to quality control which perhaps issue is on my end. But to say what problem is I showed it in attached video.

By "static", assume you must be referring to the flash that happens for a small fraction of a second as the display is starting up - probably just uninitialised memory. What does that have to do with a DisplayPort adapter? How is this impacting your ability to use the JetKVM?

Just wanted to mention that the static that I’m seeing on the jJetKVM screen only appears if I’m turning on the desktop. if I disconnect the Jet KVM (without restarting desktop) and plug it back in and it reboots I don’t see it. Not sure if this makes any difference at all just figured worth mentioning for anyone else that might be having this issue. The other two that I had ordered from China finally arrived, so I’ll be doing some more testing in with other devices. to answer the question you keep raising it’s not impacting my ability to use it. It’s just an annoyance to me right now that I can live with.
