Improve Login Error message

Describe the bug
While Xray is offline and we are trying to connect to JForg platform using credentials, we will receive the following error:
Sign in failed
Invalid credentials.

To Reproduce
Stop Xray and try to login through the plugin using credentials (username, password).

Expected behavior
Throw more accurate error such as:
Cannot reach Xray.

Any solution? We have same problem. No mather what logins are, still same error.

+1 Same issue here. Reviewing the vscode output log of the JFrog extension indicated, that an SSL certificate was not accepted. In fact, the error message shown by the extension "Invalid credentials" is not indicating the correct problem. So, +1 to enrich error messages shown depending on certain failure scenarios. 👍

@kevinkirchhof Thanks for your comment about SSL certificates. I had the same issue with "Invalid credentials" that was solved once I fixed the certificate error. Definitely +1 on having a more accurate error message.

Even, I attempted to log in to the JFrog server using the VSCode extension, but I’m receiving an "invalid credentials" error—even though the credentials I entered are correct.

Additionally, I noticed there is no trace of the login attempt on the server side. Since we have a dedicated team managing JFrog services, I’d appreciate your guidance on how to proceed with the login.

Could you please assist me with the correct steps or any troubleshooting tips?
