Can't find EON

I just received a Comma 2. Workbench won't automatically find it. When I manually enter the IP address, it finds it but says its an 'Unidentifed Device' and won't let me load anything. TIA

Is SSH enabled in the UI?
It's been awhile since I've worked on this so forgive me if things have changed in Settings on the device.

Yes; the comma2 dev settings menu is short and sweet: toggles for "Enable Community Features" and "Enable SSH", both of which are on; and an Edit button for "Authorized SSH Keys", and I plugged in my username as prompted.

Your SSH guide at https://medium.com/@jfrux/comma-eon-getting-connected-with-ssh-3ed6136e4a75 was the key to manually adding. I had not imported the dev key. I did that, and now I am in the device with the Get Fingerprint option I am all hopeful about (but now have to figure "The system cannot find the path specified" error).

Ah, my fault again; I added the github username for "Authorized SSH Keys" and then it was looking here, presumably, rather than the local key, and I was getting "Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive)." from both workbench and prompt. Took out the "Authorized SSH Keys" entry, and now I am in via SSH and moving on to the next step!
