Flat numeric listings

What I have currently:

$ pandoc --to plain contract.docx
...
2.  HEADING

    1. Section 1

        1. Paragraph 1

        2. Paragraph 2

        3. Paragraph 3

What I would like to achieve:

$ pandoc --flat-num-lists --to plain contract.docx
...
2. HEADING
2.1. Section 1
2.1.1. Paragraph 1
2.1.2. Paragraph 2
2.1.3. Paragraph 3

How? Or even, can I?

There's no way to achieve this currently.
