<p itemprop="description"><strong>Bioschemas</strong> is a joint initiative from several organizations and comunities in life science that relies and extends from <span itemprop="parentOrganization" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Organization"><meta itemprop="name" content="Schema.org" /><a href="http://schema.org" itemprop="url">schema.org</a></span> in order to facilitate the description, information sharing and promotion of life science activities. Bioschemas is hoping to encourage life science organizations to adopt schema.org markup, since it doesn't require programming skills, it is widely adopted and well documented, and it makes sense anyway for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It is then possible to scrape web pages in order to access consistently formatted information.</p>

<p>Bioschemas is an open community and welcomes any organization or individual to join this community effort.
