install without npm?

I would love to try out svelte at work but we're not allowed to install npm (or use docker). is there a way to use this extension without npm? are there pre-built files somewhere?

I can use pixi, but how would that help in this case?

I have the same problem, but it works for me if I do everything inside a Pixi environment. It's worth a shot:

pixi init
pixi add quarto nodejs
pixi run quarto use template jimjam-slam/quarto-svelte
pixi run npm i

@riziles awesome, i think that worked! It looks like I need to run it from that environment too, which makes sense.

Sweet! Glad it worked. Pixi is awesome, especially when you have dependencies in multiple languages. Hope you enjoy Svelte. Best way to do JS in my opinion and a great community.

This is really cool, @riziles! I've had a few Python folks recommend Pixi to me but haven't had the chance to try it out myself. Glad to see that it works so well!
