As the title says. Sometimes I open my output folder and there are few files that have been saved with a 0kb file size, no playable data in the container.
I have found in the logs that when this happens it reports [xcompmgr ] error 138: BadRegion request 137 minor 14 serial 403872 followed by conversion ended successfully and original file moved to trash. Checking the original files, they are playable, contain 1 video track and at least 1 audio track.
All source video files are mkv rips from dvd and bluray discs, all decrypted and ripped by MakeMKV. My Handbrake container is configured to run them through an AV1 QSV preset that is configured to passthrough all audio and subtitles, and to encode the video at maximum quality.
Any suggestions as to what is going on here and how I can fix it? 9 out of 10 times it happens, its something minor like a trailer that I'm just going to delete anyway, but every once in a while it is a special features video or the main feature, and that is an inconvenience.
My system is running Unraid 7.1.0, with this Handbrake container, self composed immich, the official Plex server for Unraid container, and the jlesage MakeMKV auto ripper. Hardware is a Ryzen 1700 CPU, ASUS ROG Strix x370-f mobo, 48GB of ddr4 running without docp, Intel ARC A750. My array still has 18TB free of 24TB useable.
Edit: It is now literally every file attempted by the autoconverter and it is no longer throwing that error code. I am going to disable the autoconverter and try doing a few manually and see what happens.
Edit2: It is only the autoconverter. My manual conversions work just fine... though if I queue up more than 2 the container crashes halfway through the third.
