Game Compatibility List

John Quigley edited this page Nov 21, 2015 · 10 revisions

This page documents the games that I or others have tested with ModelMod.

Note, even if a game is listed as "working" here, that doesn't mean you should use ModelMod with it. See the Disclaimer.

Working Games

  • Dragon Age 2
    • Works, some models not supported due to use vertex stream 1 (or higher)
  • Guild Wars 1
    • Works, but only for characters, because you need to make inventory swaps to force GPU rendering. You can use Guild Wars Dress Up to experiment with models. For instance, to snap Mesmer armor you should use "Canthan" gloves, and use any body/leg/food armor other than canthan. Complete matching armor sets will usually use CPU rendering, which is not supported.
  • Guild Wars 2
    • Haven't tested it in a while, but it was working earlier.
  • Skyrim
    • Works. Some models have differing z-origins which cause them to not appear in preview window.

Non working Games

  • Mass Effect 1&2: CLR initialization failure. May work once I integrate the CoreCLR, no timelime on that though.
  • Mass Effect 3: Injection failure. Could be obfuscated or using DRM.
  • Fallout 3: Direct2Drive version crashes on startup, possibly SecuROM interferance. Anyway you should use the native art pipeline with NIF tools for this game.
  • Fallout New Vegas: You should use the native art pipeline with NIF tools for this game.
