unable to start up api

Hey bud, awesome project you have going im just having some issues getting everything up and running.

i have forked your repo and have run npm install on the client and api folders.

when running npm start on api i get the following error:
Error: Cannot find module '../app'

is there a possibility there are some missing files or am i installing/running incorrectly?

I haven't merged anything into the master branch for some time. I'm working off development.mqtt branch right now. If you build off that branch web client and api should work. You'll also have to setup the auth and run the sequelize migrations and seeders (you may have to install sequelize-cli globally to run migrations). Instructions on setting up the auth can be found here
