Describe the feature
Description:
I would like the ability to insert a “pause until manual restart” step within the profile builder. Currently, I perform a flush to pre‑heat my cup before pulling a shot. Being able to add a dedicated pre‑heat step that pauses the profile until I manually restart it would streamline my workflow and simplify my morning routine.
Why is this feature useful?
Proposed Behavior:
In the profile editor, allow users to add a Pause Until Manual Restart step at any point in the sequence.
When the profile reaches this step, execution halts and displays a clear prompt (e.g., “Profile paused – press ‘Restart’ to continue”).
The profile remains idle until the user manually triggers the restart, after which it proceeds to the next step.
Optional UI indicator (icon or label) showing that the step is a manual pause.
Benefits:
Eliminates the need for a separate flush/pre‑heat routine outside the profile.
Possible other benefits for generating experimental profiles.
Use Case Example:
Step 1: Flush (pre‑heat cup).
Step 2: Pause Until Manual Restart – user waits until the cup reaches the desired temperature and is emptied.
Step 3: Continue with the rest of the brewing profile (e.g., pull shot).
