Trouble with merge command and ksdiff (kaleidoscope)

My package user settings for this are...

"backup_merge_command": "ksdiff {oldfilepath} {curfilepath}"

but it throws an error saying the file/directory does not exist. When I open up the console and copy/paste the command it attempted to execute into terminal it works fine, please help.
