Missing energy meter data [MIC 3000 TL-X with SDM230]

Problem:
No data from the Eastron SDM230 energy meter, only the readings from the inverter.

Configuration:

• Inverter: MIN 3000 TL-X firmware ZAAA-0018
• Datalogger: ShineLanBox firmware 7.0.2.1 + RF stick firmware 7.4.1.4
• EM: Eastron SDM230
• Grott: 2.8.3 docker proxy mode
• Home assistant integration: muppet3000/homeassistant-grott version 1.1.0

Tests carried out:

• ginvtype: auto
• ginvtype: mic
• ginvtype: min
• ginvtype: mod

Unfortunately I'm not sure if I configured the energy meter correctly.
Via the WEB interface I can see the production, consumption and export data, but from the app the inverter and energy meter parameters give me several "0".

I attach the logs of the last attempt made.

Ok. This can work. The smart meter info is in the grott.log. Can you copy the T065120.json layout file from the examples/record layout/ directory in your grott main directory?

Thank you so much! You saved my mental sanity!

Adding the file seems to work: now the home assistant integration brings back the two devices (inverter and EM).

I imagine that to have the daily sensors I have to manage them via home assistant helpers, right? (currently the EM only reports the current and total import/export values)

A curiosity for which I admit I am a neophyte: in the various docker containers that I have created via docker-compose.yaml file, I have always set /opt/container-name as volume in wich store all the container datas due to have all the files in one easily accessible place.
I was unable to do this either with grott or with grottserver as the files that should be downloaded from the repository are not present in the container folder (for example if I set:

 volumes:
  - /opt/grott/:/app

/opt/grott is empty).
Is it possible that this is due to the fact that the dockerfile first copies to /app and then sets WORKDIR /app?
I compared with other containers and they all run WORKDIR /XXX as one of the first commands

I am not sure. I would only store data outside the container not the app python files itself I think. That should be part of the container image

I would expect you to save a grott.ini in the opt/grott directory and then reference to this file from the docker compose file. Grott itself does not make any (data) files unless you change the log location.

I have to try this at home before I can tell how it really works. I am on vacation the next 2.5 weeks so that will take a while.

Don't worry, it was just my curiosity. In any case I managed to manage everything thanks to your help.

If you don't see any anomalies in the sensors created by the home assistant integration, all I have to do is create the sensors for the energy dashboard using the Riemann integral.
