I'm using HA 2025.12.x and receiving the following warning:

Received message on illegal discovery topic 'homeassistant/sensor/grott/WPDxxxxxxx_pactogrids /config'. The topic contains non allowed characters

I would guess this is because there's a trailing space after 'pactogrids'. I'm not familiar enough with the code to know if just deleting the trailing space in grottconf.py is the correct fix / not going to break anything else, or if the real fix is somewhat more involved.

There are also another couple of rows with spaces - "battemp " and "pactogrid t", but I'm not seeing warnings for those in Home Assistant.

Anyone with more knowledge able to comment?

This is an SPA 3000TL BL, AC-coupled system.

I have experimented somewhat, and deleting the space after battemp in grottconf.py, restarting the service and reloading the mqtt integration in home assistant was enough for the battemp to arrive in home assistant and it correlates with the number in the shinephone app.
