I'm guessing you're referring to language such as:

allas is a connection pooler for PostgreSQL which only supports LISTEN / NOTIFY

right? Often people say "LISTEN / NOTIFY" to refer to the entire notification feature in postgres. That's how I'm using it here as well. Perhaps in some places the language could be adjusted a bit to make it clear that only the reading side of LISTEN / NOTIFY is supported.

Yeah I understand that now, initially I had assumed I'd be able to send NOTIFY commands too so it just needs clarification
