Document relations

I've started importing my documents that I had into a simple directory structure into Paperless-ng - it's a massive improvement being able to search through my documents in an easy way ;)

One thing I'm missing is a way to mark documents as being related to eachother. A practical example would be a credit card statement:

Statement contains the usual stuff, and a list of charges to the card. I tend to add the proofs as to what kind of charge this was in a subdirectory, so that I have

• Statement1.pdf
• Statement2.pdf
  --- Statement1 date dir
  --- --- Individual files with the charges
  --- statement2 date dir
  --- --- individual files with the charges
  ...

I've not figured out a way to do this in pl-ng - if there is one, i'll be glad to know. I know i could add tags, but then it starts to get messy really quickly.
