New Bug Summary

When I call Logger.anything(...).setRecord(someSObjectList), I don't see the related record on the log entry. Just a json representation of the list in the RecordJson__c field.

Is this expected behavior? For some reason I thought I might get an entry for each record in the list, or otherwise be able to see it in the Log Entries component from the detail pages of the records in the list (although I could see how that is potentially excessive).

I'm having the same problem. This is an example:

List<Case> cases = [SELECT Id FROM Case];
Logger.info('Will not show on Related Logs component on Lightning Page.').setRecord(cases);

for (Case caseRecord : cases) {
    Logger.info('Will show on Related Logs component on Lightning Page.').setRecord(caseRecord);
}

The LogEntry data model has only one field for record ID. If multiple records are provided, no ID is saved (besides serialized records).
But see #915 for an improvement to save the record ID if a single-element list is provided.
