Some Help pages still have a rendering problem.

Not all Help pages are rendered correctly. There are several pages with the weird rendering of the HTML that was reported by @brianteeman in issue joomla/joomla-cms#46253 . Same Help pages are served in Joomla 6.

I solved that issue of the rendering of the Help page about the License by adding some translation text. That solved it for that page. But the issue is also on some translated pages. It is very random what pages have this, and what not 😒

Screenshot above was with lang=nl. With lang=en no problem on that "Start Here" page. But for instance https://help.joomla.org/proxy?keyref=Help53:Admin_Modules:_Login_Form&lang=en does give the same weird rendering.

This issue was originally made in joomla/joomla-cms#46266 , but as it is more related to this help-proxy (and the Mediawiki API), I've put it here.

it appears to be any page that is only in english that has this non-rendered code at the top of the page when it is accessed by a non-english language

do you have template power over that Media Wiki?

Looking at that issue, I asked chatGPT a few questions and it came up with a common issue:

wfMessage('help54-articles-edit')->inLanguage('de')->text() → escaped
wfMessage('help54-articles-edit')->inLanguage('en')->parse() → HTML-safe

If the template could be checked, it might help to use the same function for en and de.

Fixed it with a PR in this Help Pages proxy server, not directly in the wiki.

The ChatGPT answer was not helpful (it is not about a Message, the wiki is requested via the web services API and the API call uses action=parse). I have looked at the used skin and also at the API rendering, but didn't find the culprit. So now solved in the processResponse() method of the HelpScreenModel. But thanks anyway for trying to help.
