Maybe it would be worth thinking about (optionally?) clipping slides to the media box. Unlike other classes, presentations are more likely to have elements protruding off the paper, e.g. full frame images will most likely be oversized in at least one direction.
This can cause complications if users arrange multiple slides on one page for a handout or create their own presenter mode.
(Not sure if this would even be the job of the class or rather something for packages like pgfpages...)
