Add permissions to enable some features without others

I want to run this so Claude Code can give me alerts when it is done... Claude Code is often slow. I change tabs, waiting for it, and lose track of time. I want to pop a notification that it is ready for user inputs... without giving the goods away to my entire computer. At the moment, it looks like maybe I can remove entire files to remove features, but then I have to ensure that stuff doesn't get called. A permissions list is highly desirable.
