Doesn't work on forge 36.2.39

So I tried to set the forge version of the install from 36.2.20 to 36.2.39 (latest 1.16.5 forge version) but the game crashed instantly with exit code 1

how can this be fixed?

thats a useless snippet.
restart the launcher, start vivecraft, and after it crashed get the launcher_log.txt

that was the whole launcher_log.txt, not a snippet

also i tried opening it twice after upgrading the forge version and both times it crashed

Downgrading mods requiring newer 1.16.5 forge versions is NOT an option.
