Lights controlled by smart switches

I have several lights which are controlled by smart switches, and then they are not in the 'lights' division. ( for example a led floodlight controlled by a zigbee switch which doubles as a forward zigbee router. And a concealed ceiling led strip controlled by a Tasmota Sonoff TH switch)
Enabling the use of switches then also enables some devices to turn on in the area, like IR heating.

Tried that , did not work. (after soft reboot). The Magic Areas do not recognise the helper as a light.
Maybe tomorrow test after full reboot.

Can you elaborate what did not work?

• Did you used "Switch as X" to transform the switch into a light? Did that work?
• Did you afterwards added the newly created entity to the area and it didn't showed up in the area's "Light groups" configuration?

Please send screenshots of the device page for one of the lights in question and also for the area's light group configuration

It worked after full reboot. :
Helper assigned to a switch,
Set area to the switch, as helpers do not get area.
