Safari doesn't allow playback and rerecording (even on jspsych demo page)

I've been running into an issue with Safari executing html-audio-response. It cannot even run the demo from https://www.jspsych.org/v7/plugins/html-audio-response/#__tabbed_1_2. What can I do to help participants run experiments involving this component, besides telling them to use browsers other than Safari?

We just published a fix for this: #3507

You'll have to update to version 2.1.1 of the plugin. Hopefully that will solve the issue!

Thank you for your quick response! I tried the plugin and had to edit a few parts because I was still getting errors that I resolved based on information from the browser console:

1. removed

static {
      this.info = info;
    }

2. added "HtmlAudioResponsePlugin.info = info" back to the end

This seems to have fixed the problem for me. I'm not sure if those changes will fundamentally alter the plugin in a way that it won't work for other users.
