Lecture on Friday March 25th -- background in analysis

Hi All,

Tomorrow (March 25th) we start on analysis and its applications. I assume you have at least basic knowledge of analysis. You should know what we mean by open sets, closed sets and continuity. I assume you have at least seen the definition of metric space and looked at the elementary properties. If you need to refresh your memory, please look over the first 12 pages of the file analysis_introductory.pdf in the folder for tomorrow's lecture before class.
