Love the displays. Are you OK with sharing the files? |

You can attach them to a reply here. I see you have forked my repo so you could also clone that to your PC, add them in more_faces, commit and push your additions and send me a pull request. |

You're welcome. I created a repository for other faces I made and some that
I repackaged from other formats to be compatible with your project. FYI
that H401 clock I use is available on AliExpress for about $30 US which is
the lowest price I've ever seen for that model. Your project really
upgrades the factory installed firmware and that makes it a great value.

A couple years back I stumbled on the Elekstube project and was hooked. I was a US Navy electronics technician in the 1970's using a lot of HP test equipment that incorporated nixie tube displays. I was fascinated by their warm orange glow and usefulness.
I liked the concept of the Elekstube but didn't think too much of the enclosure it used. Then I saw the IPSTube H401 product for a very reasonable price on a Chinese web site. The one thing I didn't like was it had to be connected to their cloud for full function. I used it a few month then put it away because I'm am not advanced enough in programming to hack it.
I figured somewhere, someone would hack the H401 and then found your project. It is perfect for this clock. I spent a few days creating some really interesting displays which is quite easy to do. I know a little about Linux OS's but mostly use Windows 10. I found the easiest way for me to make the .tar.gz file is to use 7-zip. I compress the files with the .tar option then compress that file with the 7-zip .gzip option. I discovered that if compressed file names are not all lower case letters the file won't load properly on the H401.
Anyway thank you for making this project available it really is a fun and enjoyable way to get this clock to operate.
