support for unity 6 lts

When we can expect a release for unity 6. i know there is an experimental branch present. when this will become stable?
Also when it will support windows build

I've had plenty of people use the 6000 branch and it seems about as stable as the master (2022) version.

I can't release pub.dev updates for the plugin and the plugin owner isn't really active anymore, so don't expect a pub.dev release soon.

I might have to try and see if I can release a forked plugin pub.dev.

Thanks for the update, and really appreciate your efforts on maintaining the 6000 branch — it's great to hear it's already as stable as the 2022 master.

I totally understand the limitations with pub.dev publishing and the original plugin owner. That said, it would be super helpful for the community (especially those moving to Unity 6.x) if you could release your forked version to pub.dev. Even a pre-release or beta tag would go a long way in allowing more people to adopt and test it more easily.

If there's anything we can do to support the release (testing, documentation, etc), I’d be more than happy to help!

I am trying to build the project with Unity version 6000.0.5, but I am encountering errors when trying to build for Android.

I am using the NDK 27.2.12479018 (same as Unity 6000.0.5) and Java 17

The Application Entry Point is Activity

I’ve tried Unity package versions 6000.0 and 6000.1, but the result was the same. I also attempted to clean the Flutter and Gradle, but that didn’t help either

Can you please advise on what can be done here?

Are you sure the export in the android/unityLibrary folder is from 6000.0.5 and not an old one?

Just did some testing and I get this exact set of errors when I use an Android export from Unity 2022.3.x with the fuw plugin branch for Unity 6000.

Unresolved reference: UnityPlayerForActivityOrService indicates that the class is missing in the classes imported from the Unity export. According to the Unity changelogs UnityPlayerForActivityOrService was introduced in 2023.1.0, and it is also present in 6000.0.0.

So using an old Unity version would explain this.
If you truly are using a 6000.0.x Unity version, the unity classes are somehow not getting imported (missing imports in gradle files?).

Yes, I targeted incorrect folder and Flutter took the old Unity export

Now I have java incompability issue
