Privacy Policy

Thank you for using the Pulse·Heart Rate app (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the App, we may collect the following information:

  • Heart Rate Data: Heart rate data measured through the camera or synchronized from the Health app
  • Health App Data: With your explicit permission, we access heart rate data from Apple's HealthKit framework

2. Information Usage

We use the collected information for:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving the App's functionality
  • Generating heart rate trend analysis and health advice
  • Sending heart rate abnormality alert notifications (if enabled)

3. HealthKit Data Usage

Our app uses Apple's HealthKit framework to access and process your heart rate data with your explicit permission. Specifically:

  • We only read heart rate data from HealthKit and do not write any data back to HealthKit
  • The heart rate data from HealthKit is used to display your heart rate history and provide health advice based on your heart rate patterns
  • We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or other data-mining purposes
  • You can revoke access to your HealthKit data at any time through your device's Settings app

4. Data Storage and Security

Your heart rate data is primarily stored locally on your device.

The heart rate data read from HealthKit after your authorization is only stored on the local device and will not be uploaded to the server. Deleting the app will delete all locally stored heart rate data.

We take reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We do not share any data collected from HealthKit with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

We will not use HealthKit data for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access or delete your personal information
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your personal information
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, including revoking HealthKit permissions through your device's Settings app

You can exercise these rights through the App settings or by contacting us.

7. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated Privacy Policy will be posted in the App and marked with the effective date.
