Unable to get Recovery Phone or U2F Key to work #66

Hello,
I just set up a new account today and attempted to set up a backup phone for SMS and a FIDO key. Neither one seems to be working. I put in +1530xxxyyyy with SMS selected and click on Submit and nothing happens. I get a blank window with a search box at the top and it shows disabled after I return to My Account.
When I try the FIDO key setup (tried Chromium-based Edge, Chrome, and Firefox, same result on all three) It doesn't let me put in a name for the key (it is a Feitan key, works for Google auth on Chrome) and immediately prompts me with two OK boxes, then asks me to insert the key and press the button. Afterward, it says I successfully added the key but then immediately repeats the process and the key never gets added. It continually repeats the prompts over and over with no success.
