Unzipping Large Files

Hello,

I am using Jupyter when renting a Cloud GPU and when I try to unzip a 10GB file that in reality contains 90GB of data, it just unzips like 2% of the whole content of the zip. Is this normal?

Right click, "unzip" or extract file or something like that

Instead of using the right-click unzip option, I recommend trying to unzip the file using the terminal with this command:

unzip filename.zip -d output_folder

Also, please check if your cloud has enough free disk space of 90 GB For extraction.
Alternatively, you can unzip it in Python like this:
Python Code to unzip file:

import zipfile
with zipfile.ZipFile('yourfile.zip', 'r') as zip_ref:
zip_ref.extractall('output_folder')

@PoLTheToWeR are you using https://github.com/jupyterlab-contrib/jupyter-archive then? If so this is where this issue should be reported :)
