I'm opening this in both repos because I have no idea which project is the right one to resolve this issue. I can resolve the issue by downgrading jupyterlab-favorites to the previous release or by removing jupyterlab-myst from the environment.

Could be some weird CSS conflict that needs attention on both sides. 🤷 I haven't debugged beyond bisecting my environment to identify the exact combination of dependencies that triggers the issue.
