Events are not being processed at the time they are scheduled for

Is anyone else facing the issue where the events are getting processed late? in our case they are being processed late and hence resulting in some data inconsistency, is there a way to ensure that events gets processed on the time they are supposed to be processed?

Have you considered the polling interval? How about batch processing?
