Batch croping Slide film scans

Is there any solution to make it possible to batch crop slide scans to a fixed frame ratio?
Also auto rotate would be nice but not strictly nessesary.

If your pictures are saved as separate images, then in Batch Convert you can add the gimp-image-crop procedure and set the new width, height and starting offsets. However, this only allows cropping to fixed dimensions in pixels, i.e. no "crop to 50% of image width" or setting a custom aspect ratio. If that is your case, I'll consider adding a built-in crop procedure.

For rotating images, you have several options. If you only need to rotate by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, you can add gimp-item-transform-rotate. For more fine-grained rotation, you can use e.g. gimp-item-transform-rotate. Note that if you need to use the latter, you may want to also add the Resize to layer size procedure so that the image is not cut off after export.

If by auto-rotating you mean automatically "straightening" the picture so that it's aligned horizontally/vertically, then that's not possible I'm afraid. There might be a GIMP plug-in in the future for this that could then be added in Batcher. A quick search revealed you may use IrfanView for this using a plug-in, but it's probably not applicable for batch processing (IfranView also has batch file conversion available).

Thank you to be kind to answer my Q
Regarding croping what I ask for is an aspect ratio cropping feature regardless of resolution that will if possible in a perfect worl look or edges an center of image as reference, need this for a DSRL slide scanning set up ;)

@stefan63 As of 1.1, you can make use of several new actions that I added: Crop, Rotate and flip and possibly Resize canvas. The Crop action offers a variety of modes, such as cropping to the specified aspect ratio, or from a particular point (upper left corner, center, etc.).
