Since last update - New windows instantly reposition themselves on open

I'm not sure if this is the intended functionality. I originally installed this app so that it would maintain all of my window positions when my TV/Monitor would go to sleep. It works perfectly for that. And opening new apps would never be an issue.

However after the recent update, new apps seem to instantly reposition themselves to random positions upon open. Causing the app to flash in two locations before settling.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

the instant restore of new window is a new feature introduced in recent releases.

C:\Users[User]\AppData\Local\PersistentWindows\window_pos.xml may have captured history of too many windows, causing wrong restore due to mismatching window.

If that is the case, the fix is to restart PW without history capture.
Just exit PW, delete that xml file, and restart PW.

how can I turn off this new feature?
I deleted window_pos.xml and set this parameter -dump_window_position_history=0
but still I have a same issue.

For user who wants only traditional behavior (without later/future enhancement features), run PW with command -basic_features

heh i was going to fork this to fix the problem.
are all these options documented?
(can we get a version that uses a config file for settings/documents all the possible settings?
